Education session agenda:

Getting better at maintenance: A guide for navigating the 2023 revision of NFPA 70B

  • This presentation is designed to provide participants with an overview of the key changes with the 2023 revision of NFPA 70B along with providing a high-level approach to creating a new electrical maintenance plan from scratch or modifying existing maintenance plans to better align with the new standard

Motor control centers: a reliable solution for maximum performance

  • In this course, we’ll review low-voltage (LV) motor control centers (MCCs) capabilities and applications and how to optimize for maximum performance.

Arc quenching switchgear: The fastest way to comply with NEC Article 240.87 for Arc Energy Reduction

  • In this course, you will learn about various NEC Article 240.87-compliant methods for reducing incident energy when using a circuit breaker and arc quenching functionality. You’ll also learn how this scenario differs from traditional arc-resistant designs and crowbar methods.

RVSS vs. VFD: application needs, features, and cost/benefit analysis

  • Explore the key differences between reduced-voltage soft starters (RVSS) and variable-frequency drives (VFDs) in medium-voltage motor control applications. This course will cover application basis, key features, and cost benefit analysis of RVSS vs. VFDs.

Medium-voltage switchgear considerations, requirements, and applications

  • In this course, we’ll review what should be taken into consideration when specifying, purchasing, installing, and owning medium voltage (MV) switchgear. We’ll also discuss relevant codes and standards, environmental considerations, and technology options.

Benefits of attending:

  • Connect with peers across industries
  • First look at upcoming new technology projects within each product line and provide feedback on innovation
  • Participate in hands-on demonstrations of electrical equipment across the industrial space
