Power Up consultant training course

Eaton invites you to spend two days in a unique learning environment at our Power Systems Experience Center in Houston, TX. This course, designed specifically for early-career power systems design engineers, will provide education on a variety of electrical design aspects in an local switchgear manufacturing plant.

Power Up is part of Eaton’s Electrical Designer Training Series that offers a tiered approach to continuing education for consultant and specifying engineering professionals, delivering a curriculum with varying course levels catering to engineers early in their careers, on up to the more experienced professional.

  • Three-phase power system calculations
  • Goals of system design
  • Overcurrent Device basics - breakers and fuses
  • PSEC facility tour and equipment overview
  • Power quality lab, starter and drive basics, PF, motor starting, sags, swells
  • Dinner at Top Golf in Spring, TX

Day 2

  • Breakfast provided
  • Scavenger hunt - product identification
  • Coordination and arc flash overview
  • Wrap-up and depart
