How to license your newly installed instance of Eaton’s Brightlayer software

It only takes a few quick and easy steps

With the latest version 7.3 release of Eaton’s Brightlayer software, we offer online and offline methods for licensing your instance of the software.

For the online method, your computer accessing Server Admin must be connected to the internet. If your computer does not have internet access, you will need to use the offline method for activating your software.

Step-by-step videos to license your software

What you need before getting started

To license your software, you need to install it and add all of the activation IDs from your entitlement email. If you do not have an activation link, please contact brightlayerdcsupport@eaton.com   .

Access the ServerAdmin Initialization page by entering the IP address that was assigned during installation and /ServerAdmin  Example: 10.192.168.11/ServerAdmin

Default credentials include:

Username: admin
Password: Monit@r#1

The first time you log in, you will be prompted to change the admin password for the ServerAdmin interface.

Once you are logged in, you can assign a host URL by changing the “Host URL” entry. Your license will be bound to your URL, and the license will become inactive if the URL is changed after activating your software.
