SOUTHFIELD, Mich.—Intelligent power management company Eaton announced its Mobility Group will showcase its Turbulator cooling technology alongside advanced engine air management solutions at ACT Expo, scheduled for May 4–7, 2026, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The exhibit will highlight how Eaton’s Turbulator-enabled valves help commercial vehicle manufacturers manage extreme engine temperatures while supporting durability, efficiency, performance and vehicle control in heavy-duty operating environments.
In addition to its Turbulator-equipped hollow engine valves, Eaton also plans to feature its late intake valve closing (LIVC) systems and high-power engine brake solutions at ACT Expo. Together, these innovations support advanced combustion strategies, improve engine efficiency and reliability, and enhance overall vehicle performance.
Commercial vehicle manufacturers continue to look for ways to deliver stronger performance, improved fuel efficiency and reliable operation under increasingly demanding conditions. Eaton’s Turbulator technology is a great example of how we’re helping customers better manage heat inside the engine—unlocking improved durability and performance in heavy-duty applications.
Turbulator-equipped hollow engine valves are engineered to improve internal valve cooling by increasing sodium movement within the hollow structure. This enhanced circulation boosts heat transfer away from the valve head, improving thermal management and helping engines maintain reliable performance under the higher temperatures and loads common in heavy-duty applications.
Eaton’s late intake valve closing (LIVC) systems provide improved control of engine airflow and compression. This greater control enables manufacturers to refine combustion strategies, ultimately supporting higher fuel efficiency.
High-performance engine braking technologies will also be on display. Engineered to integrate seamlessly with commercial vehicle air brake systems, these solutions deliver added control on steep grades and under heavy loads, easing reliance on service brakes. The result is reduced brake wear, improved safety and greater overall vehicle stability—making engine braking a critical asset in the most demanding duty cycles.
