What did you want to be when you were a child growing up?
Veterinarian or engineer
What level of education did you study?
Degree - B.Sc. Electrical Engineering / B. Sc. Science and Technology
What on-the-job technical specialist training have you had at Eaton?
I have completed my Green Belt training and test (now just missing the project). Other trainings: plastic injection molding; breaktor integration, commercial PDUs workshop.
Did you always see yourself in your current career?
I was always a person connected to solve problems and expose myself to new challenges, so that's why I believe Engineering was with me since I was a kid. I have always seen myself working addressing problems related to renewable sources of energy and mobility, so, working with EVs at eMobility makes sense to me and my career path.
What are your current responsibilities?
Design and simulate 3D high efficient and low cost components for Power Distribution Units for U.S automotive hybrid and full electric vehicles (FCA); Focus on techniques such as plastic injection molding and ultrasonic welding; and high voltage components integration.
What does the future of your profession look like?
As a mechanical engineer, our future is full of possibilities. In every single aspect of our everyday lives, we need integration between new products, new products development for EVs, Electrical Sector, Materials Science and Industry in general. I believe the challenge will be how to create each time more reliable, high quality and sustainable products for people and companies.
