Job Description: Quality is such an important area of engineering, ensuring that Eaton's site and products are of the highest quality in what they produce. Coming from an engineering qualification you can continue your studies into quality, possibly join as a quality intern, learning the background on working within quality then progressing to then managing the team.

What did you want to be when you were a child growing up? 
First a firefighter, then a professional athlete, and somewhere by the mid-teen years I wanted to be like my dad (also a Mechanical Engineer).

What education / degree did you study?
Mechanical Engineering.

What on-the-job technical specialist training have you had at Eaton?  
Six Sigma Green Belt, Internal Auditor Training.

Did you always see yourself in your current career?
No, and if I would need to answer the famous "where do you see yourself..." question in an interview 5 years ago i would probably give a different answer, but career is also learning and growing phase... 

What are your current responsibilities?
Organization of quality department activities as well as optimization of relevant business processes, Managing of quality functional excellence requirements implementation (Eaton Quality System, Six Sigma, etc.…) as well as all measuring tools associated with continuous improvement in quality, Team management, especially the development and improvement of specific knowledge.

What does the future look like for you?
Hard one... But it would need to be something enjoyable and meaningful - Working with teams on problem-solving, brainstorming, developing, organizing and of course learning (improvement). I would give my energy to the world in the service of others, and in an orderly, realistic and practical way.

What other roles have you had in Eaton? 
Quality System Supervisor, Production Engineer.

Passionate - not excepting status quo and making a difference and important for leading (change, processes, people,..) and learner - essential for improvement (professionally and personally).

Which of the STE[a]M subjects do you most relate to and why?
Engineering, science and technology - because I have studied mechanical engineering, and those two combined are the fields that are solving the most impactful world problems, like creating clean energy or detecting illness. As engineers, we are constantly challenging the status quo and are trying to develop solutions that affect everyone's lives, and also we have to learn every day in order to stay in shape.

Who/what inspires you the most?
Watching my son grow and my wife playing with him. Also my parents - who are now almost 50 years married.
