DITPM runs as a virtual machine directly with the Scale platform. This enables Brightlayer to function natively in the Scale environment, enhancing visibility and control over both physical and virtual assets. By automating equipment at the device level with customizable response scripts and enabling predictive maintenance, businesses can reduce downtime and mitigate risks before they escalate into full-blown disasters.

Physical security

Brightlayer’s DITPM and the SC//Platform are only as powerful as the data fed into the network and accurate data relies on physical security around hardware. Locking enclosures with virtual access controls and door open sensors are the first line of defense, ensuring that only authorized individuals gain access to equipment, reducing the likelihood of equipment disconnects. Environmental disasters don’t wait for an open door, though. The second line of defense are finely-tuned sensors connected to a platform that knows how to react to the data. Eaton’s environmental monitoring probe is designed with daisy-chaining technology to monitor the temperature and relative humidity at multiple points within each rack. Each monitoring probe can support can additional two sensors, such as smoke detectors, vibration monitors and water leak detectors. All of this data when connected to Brightlayer DITPM and SC//Hypercore and Fleet manager can initiate the automated responses needed to protect equipment, data and your business as a whole.
