xDetect Mini - Powerful, discreet addressable fire alarm panel

The xDetect Mini is a futureproof fire alarm control panel that combines powerful performance with a compact, discreet and aesthetically pleasing design. Fitting into the wider xDetect family, the Mini ensures compliance with the latest fire detection standards while noticeably reducing space and complexity, making it ideal for quick installation anywhere in a building. Backed by Eaton’s secure-by-design credentials, xDetect Mini delivers reliable performance and scalability without compromising on security.

Every xDetect panel is purposefully designed to minimise the time installers spend on-site, simplifying their selection, fitting, commissioning and service requirements through features such as errorproof colour coding and modular architecture. Errorproofing continues with support for loop networking; even without redundant lines, a single fault is stopped from disrupting system communication, thereby reducing cabling costs.

A scalable solution, each xDetect panel can easily expand and adapt in line with new legislation and building owners' changing needs. Color-coded modular cards quickly swap into the panel to enable fluid and intuitive upgrades.

Install confidence with xDetect

To guarantee fire safety in commercial buildings, installers and specifiers need to have confidence in their fire systems. They need to be confident that their solutions are not only secure, safe and reliable but also sleek in design, simple to install and easy to maintain. This is where Eaton's xDetect range comes in.

xDetect Mini is a small, 1 or 2 loop addressable fire alarm control panel featuring an instantly familiar, tablet-like interface. At a glance, users can monitor a building's detectors and zones so that faults can be addressed swiftly and fires resolved. The panel is designed with industry-leading levels of cybersecurity and is future-ready for building management system (BMS) and internet of things (IoT) connectivity.

Flexible, modular 'plug-in and go' cards

Every fire alarm system is different and project scope can rapidly change, forcing installers to over-engineer or make drastic late alterations. Eaton understands these challenges – xDetect Mini's modular, card-based design gives you the agility to react.

Each panel has four card slots with two pre-fitted cards (Gateway and 800 Series Loop) meeting EN54-2. Add up to two of any card type to unlock additional functionality and create cost-effective, bespoke solutions tailored to customers' growing needs. The modular loop card system minimises downtime by enabling fast swapping of any failed card, without impacting other functionality. The result? Less expense and more peace of mind.

All the power, half the space

As with all xDetect panels, the Mini is packed with features. It boasts the same power as the smaller standard panel and eclipses the capabilities of legacy panels like the CF2000; equip 2 loops per Mini, build a market-leading 250 panel network, interact with a colour-coded touchscreen, and use modularity to stay flexible to changing needs.

The best part? All of this performance arrives in a modest and inobtrusive form factor, proving once and for all that smaller can be better.

Mini in size, massive on security

xDetect panels follow Eaton's secure-by-design protocols, protecting people, property and data.  At their heart is the highest level of cybersecurity, enabling secure communications and protecting both data and assets from hackers. Entirely future proof and ready for remote access, xDetect panels can be safely integrated into a Building Management System (BMS) and the Internet of Things (IoT).

A choice of colors for added subtlety

In addition to its discreet, compact build, xDetect Mini is available in both gray and white housing, further ensuring it seamlessly blends into any room. A tasteful glossy finish goes the extra mile in upholding the xDetect family's reputation for sleek design.

Use loop networking to halve your cabling costs

Utilising a streamlined RS-485-network, xDetect doesn't lose communication when a single fault occurs. Importantly, when networking several xDetect control panels together in a loop topology, there is no requirement for redundant lines to maintain the critical signal path. Therefore, also considering the 600mA maximum current per xDetect loop, cabling costs are nearly halved compared to typical radial neworking set-ups.

Notwithstanding the benefits of a loop network, the system supports radial networking when installers aren't yet ready to progress to loop set-ups.

Greater resilience & rapid on-site troubleshooting

Faults can happen at any time when sites go live – particularly when demanding schedules are constantly evolving.  Critically, any loop card failure is confined to one loop circuit only with xDetect – all others remaining fully operational. This is by design and allows for segmented protection against faults and loss of coverage. Downtime is minimised completely as each card provides clear status indication. It means technicians can identify issues quickly and rectify them with minimal effort, with each frame allowing for swapping of the affected card without disturbing other system functionality.
